Richard C. Holm, 65, of Clinton, died, Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Mercy Medical Center, North Campus.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at the Lyons United Methodist Church with Rev. Christine Minor-Heilig. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory with a Scottish Rite Masonic Rose Croix Service at 7:00pm

Richard Carvel Holm was born on September 22, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Faur) Holm. He married Rita Marie Friis on January 19, 1964 at the Lyons United Methodist Church.

He was a 1961 graduate of Clinton High School.

He was employed with Interstate Power / Alliant Energy for 31 years, retiring in 2000 as the Assistant Gas Operations Manager. He also worked part-time with Wagner Pharmacy as a deliveryman.

He was a member of Lyons United Methodist Church, a member of the Lyons Masonic Lodge No. #93 AF & AM, a member of Clinton Scottish Rite Bodies as a 33 degree Inspector General Honorary, Clinton York Rite Bodies, KAABA Shrine, the Clinton Hi-12 Club, the Clinton Eagles Club, and the Clinton Builders Club.

He is surived by his wife: Rita of Clinton; one son: Peter Holm and his wife Christiana of Newton, Massachusetts; two daughters: Elizabeth Holm and her husband Greg VanDusseldorp of Iowa City, Iowa; and Erika Holm and her fiance Ruadhri Brown of Iowa City, Iowa; four grandchildren: Ivy Sophia and Evan Ezekiel VanDusseldorp, and Nastassja Sophia and Paul Richard Holm; and his sister: Marylea Baroumand of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother: Charles Holm
