"Homer C. Grasberger, 71, of East Oak Lane, a lawyer and court official widely known throughout the Philadelphia legal community, died Wednesday at his home. Mr. Grasberger, attended Philadelphia public schools and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1942. Ten years later, he graduated from University of Virginia law school.

He served as a Navy navigation officer during World War II, after which he belonged to the Navy Reserve until leaving with the rank of lieutenant in 1950. Mr. Grasberger served as vice commodore of the sailing club of the Union League.

Mr. Grasberger was regarded as very knowledgeable about the workings of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and the Philadelphia Registry of Wills, where he held an administrative positions through most of his career. He was active at the Tenth Presbyterian Church in Center City, where he was a ruling elder.

Survivors: his wife, Ann Mollik Grasberger, and two brothers, Dr. Joseph C. and Robert C.

Services: memorial service, 7 p.m. Monday at Tenth Presbyterian Church, corner of 17th and Spruce Streets"
