He was shot twice in 2 different
years, and after 2nd wound, he was
released from the war.
Per Russ Dodge of findagrave:
Loren was a
Blacksmith, Company L, 1st Vermont Volunteer Cavalry. Served from September 29 1862 to February 22, 1865, when he was discharged due to wounds.
Vermont Adjutant General records erroneously list him as "Loren Brow".
He is listed in the 1890 US Census Veterans Schedule as residing in Huntington, Chittenden County, Vermont, and during the war he was once shot through the hip and leg.
