Birth: unknown, Sweden
Death: Nov. 17, 1930
Multnomah County
Oregon, USA

Gus worked for the J H Pomeroy Company who was a contractor on the St Johns Bridge - which was a prototype for the Golden Gate Bridge. On July 9, 1930 Gus and a Morris A White fell from the construction tower at the approach to the east end of the bridge. Gus died on November 17, 1930 from "traumatic fracture of neck". A note on his death certificate reports that he fell 300 feet. Gus's name also came up in a report on whether local men were being employed in the construction of the St Johns Bridge, since it was very important at the time to use local labor to help an extremely weak labor market. Apparently he gave an address in Seattle, but listed his residence in Portland.
Gus was about 23 years old.
