From the obituary of Elmer Clarence Buck, we gain an incite into the type of man he was. He had made his mark on the community even though he was a young man when he passed away. The family made their home on the farm near St. Edward until 1 Mar 1917 when they moved to Wheeler County where they farmed until his death.
He was a capable businessman, sturdy and upright in all the problems of life.
He took an active interest in the Fairview Church and Sunday School. But the greatest joy to his life was his family and home.
He was very prominent in the community, being a member of the school board and a friend to everyone at all times.
