Thomas married Elizabeth Forbes, daughter of James and Ellen/Helen Wattie Forbes, in Huntingdon on 31 December 1858. They had five children: Helen/Ellen, William, James Forbes, and two unnamed children who died the same day they were born. William married Isabella Goldie Middlemiss and they are buried in this cemetery. James Forbes married Julia Adeline Hyde and they apparently moved to Calgary, Alberta.
