Mergen Rites Held at Avon Saturday
The funeral of Kathryn Mergen, who died suddenly Wednesday evening, took place on Saturday morn- at 9:30 o'clock in St. Benedict church in Avon. Rev. Seifermann, O. S. B., and Magnus Hermanutz, O. S. B., the pastor, officiated. Miss Mergen was a member of the Young Ladies sodality and six members acted as the honorary pallbearers. They were Martha Kepper, Julia Terwey, Adelaide Hoerschen, Evelyn Wyman, Marcella Thorny and Hildegard Thorny. The active pallbearers were Ed Funk, Lawrence Raden, George Wolf, Mike and Ted Wolf. Interment was made in the parish cemetery.
