Obituary on funeral home web site: Services for Alton "Pete" Amick will be held 11:00 am Thursday June 2, 2011 at Central Church of the Nazarene with Rev. James Thrower officiating. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Central Church of the Nazarene, Building Fund, 100 S Woodside Pky., West Columbia, SC 29170. Pallbearers will be his grandson and nephews. Mr. Amick passed away Monday, May 30, 2011. Born in Lexington County, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Popie Crout Amick. He was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife Sue Joyce Reese Buckner Amick; adopted daughter Teresa Amick Moore,Stepsons, John Lester Buckner jr. and James Alton Buckner, brothers, J. Rembert Amick, Kenneth "Abb" Amick (Donna), Harold Lenard Amick (Annette), Darryl Amick (Evelyn), sister, Betty Amick Crout (Edward), 2 grandchildren John Moore Jr,and Lacy and 1 great-grandchild Alexi.
