KOREAN WAR VETERAN
Charles P. Williams, 80, of Belfair, WA passed away September 16, 2011 at the Washington Veterans Home at Retsil, WA.
He was born September 7, 1931 in Cortez, CO. Chuck served in the Korean War with the Baker Battery 300th Armored Field Artillery Battalion from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1952.
He started his own business Williams Machine Co. in 1967 and in 1990 started GRIND-ALL INC from which he retired in September 2009.
He is a Past Commodore of the Tacoma Yacht Club and was a member of the Elks, Knights of Columbus, and American Legion. Chuck loved spending time with his family and had a generous heart always willing to help anyone. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and was always thinking of projects to do as he was skilled at everything.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife (private); daughter (private); step children (private); grandchildren (private); sisters (private); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years Louise, his parents, sisters Bertha Whitton and Julia Sorg, and nephew Mark Kilman.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Chuck's name to the Washington Veterans Home at Retsil or the American Heart Association. Online memorial at www.rill.com
