WORLD WAR II AND KOREAN WAR VETERAN

Walker Eaton Washburn was born on 25 April 1920 at Ayer, Massachusetts. he was the son of Florence Marion (Watson) and Charles Irving Washburn.

Walker served during World War II and the Korean wars, being initially inducted in the United States Navy on 26 November 1942. He served a total of twelve years , nine months, and ten days, encompassing three enlistments; 26 November 1942 to 12 December 1945, then 16 June 1948 until 30 August 1951, then again from 31 August 1951 until 11 April 1958. He was honorably discharged as a Seaman.

On 19 July 1999, at the age of seventy eight years of age, he pased away. He is buried in the Washington Veterans Home Cemetery.
