Services for Gay Milton Anderson, retired school teacher, age 84, were held Monday at 2 in the Southern Funeral Home here with Masonic rites at the graveside in Vaiden. The Rev. B. F. Lewis officiated with Rev. P. D. Bragg assisting. Southern Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Mr. Anderson died in Greenville Sunday after a long illness. He was born in Vaiden and for a while lived in the Acona community near Lexington before moving to Greenville several years ago. He was a member of Blackhawk Masonic Lodge and a Baptist.
He leaves three daughters Mrs. Gaynelle Oswalt of Alligator, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith of Greenville, Mrs. Virginia A. Williamson of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
