Birth: Apr. 12, 1773
New Hampshire, USA
Death: May 12, 1867
New Hampshire, USA

He was aged 94 yrs. and 1 mo.
He was the nephew of another Rev. Joseph Boodey or (Boody) bn 1752, who was shown as companion of Rev. Benj. Randall, whose house was where Eld. Randall and his group of Free Will Baptists organized their church by that name in New Durham.
Free Bapt. Cyclopedia, pub. 1889, records that this Eld. Joseph Boody was the first to preach free salvation in northern Vermont. He had good success but for six months he saw not a minister who gave him a word of cheer.
He was ordained Oct. 18, 1798, at a session of the QM in the New Durham Schoolhouse, with Eld. Benj. Randall, delivering the sermon and Eld. Daniel Lord giving the prayer. He helped organize Quarterly Meetings from the churches that had been organized. He was a worthy minister.
