Father - Tazewell Hill Griffith Mother - Lavinia Boyd
After she married Alonzo they moved onto land given them by John L. Boyd.
Her first house was first built of logs. It was on the side of the hill. Alonzo and Minnie had lived in the house for several years. They had at least one child. The story is that they were playing cards and the kerosene lamp was knocked over. Alonzo took the child out and then went back for Minnie. She was on fire. He put her in the horse trough. It was winter and the cold water probably saved her life. She was scarred on her back and neck.
