Esquire F. M. Hatfield
Esquire F. M. Hatfield died Sunday night near Calhoun, GA. His remains were brought here yesterday for interment in Fairmount Cemetery, which will take place at 2 o'clock this afternoon. He was in the 67th year of his age and survived his wife and several children.
He went to Florida on the first of February last and on his return went to the home of his daughter, where he died. He was a member of the county court and was a lieutenant in Capt. Stewart's company, recruited at Dunlap. He served through the war and was a member of N. B. Forrest Camp U. C. V. He was also a member of the Masonic lodge of Dunlap and a member of the Missionary Baptist church, being a consistent Christian gentleman.
The following gentleman from N. B. Forrest Camp have been requested to act as pall bearers: S. J. A. Frazier and O. S. Green.
Note: Son of James W. Hatfield and Olly Lawson, husband of Malvina Jackson.
