She was the daughter of James McLane and Mary Jordan. She married Patrick J. McLaughlin.

From The Scranton Times, March 30, 1935:

MRS. P.J. M'LAUGHLIN DIES IN HOSPITAL AFTER AN ILLNESS

Mrs. Elizabeth McLane McLaughlin, of 151 Hollister avenue, died at 12:30 o'clock this morning in the Mercy Hospital after several weeks' illness. Her sister, Mrs. Frank J. Murphy, died two months ago today. Mrs. McLaughlin was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church, and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of Holy Rosary parish.
Besides her husband, Patrick J. McLaughlin, she leaves three sisters, Maria and Anna McLane, of this city; Mrs. Lynn Morrison, of Rochester, N.Y.; two brothers, M.R. McLane, retired Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railroad Company conductor; Ambrose McLane, of New York.

Funeral notice from The Scranton Times, April 1, 1935:

The funeral of Mrs. P. J. McLaughlin, of 151 Hollister avenue, will be held tomorrow morning. A requiem mass will be celebrtated in Holy Rosary Church at 9:30 o'clock. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
