Howard R. "Butch" Moore, Jr., 68, of Wormleysburg passed away on May 18, 2012, at Hershey Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Moore, of 46 years. He is also survived by a nephew, Kevin Moore of Frederick, MD and his wife, Shirley and children, Kylene Beshore, Clayton Moore, and Alyssa Moore; a niece, Kathy Bangert of Enola and her husband, Martin, and children, Jamie Bangert, and Jason Bangert and his wife, Rachel and 2 great-great nephews, Jayvin and Rylan Bangert, and many other nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, June and Howard R. Moore, Sr., and a brother, Edgar B. Moore.
Howard was an ordained minister with the Coatsville Assembly of God Church and was a member of the Christian Life Assembly of God Church in Camp Hill.
He was a graduate of East Pennsboro High School and Harrisburg Area Community College. He also attended Penn State University.
Butch served our country with honor in the U.S. Air Force. He had worked previously for TRW, PA Dept. of Transportation-Bureau of Materials and Construction, and for the PA Dept. of Labor and Industry. He also served as a Judge of Elections for Wormleysburg.
He enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing, as well as, studying the Bible.
The family will accept visitation on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, from 10-11 a.m. at the Christian Life Assembly of God Church, Camp Hill. A service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church. Following the church service, burial will take place at Enola Cemetery, in Enola, PA.
The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Moore family.
