She was an active member of the Aurora Borealis African Violet Club and the Widowed Person's Support Group.

Her family said: "She was a devoted mother and grandma. She enjoyed doing things with and for her family. She loved to garden and had quite a green thumb. She was always out in her yard and took pride in her home. She will be missed immensely by her family."

Mrs. Allsup is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald R. and Melissa Allsup; son, Andy Allsup; daughters, Susan Arnao and Diane Byker; sister, Mae Samuelson of Colorado; brother, Robert Samuelson of Idaho; 15 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Allsup was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Nebraska. She moved to Alaska in 1967. She worked for the Anchorage School District. She was an active member of the Aurora Borealis African Violet Club and the Widowed Person's Support Group. Her family said: ''She was a devoted mother and grandma.
