Isom Prentice "Print" Olive
Birth: Feb. 7, 1840
Mississippi, USA
Death: Aug. 16, 1886
Colorado, USA

Isom (Print) Olive; one of the most contraversial cattle ranchers in the Old West. Print and his brothers, Thomas, Ira, and Bob were known to take the law into their own hands, particularly when it came to dealing with cattle rustlers. One incident involved the death of two rustlers by the name of Turner and Crow, who were killed by a method called "death of skins", where the victim was wrapped in green cow hides and left to die of suffication as the sun dried them. The skins found on the men contained Olive's brand, and although aquitted, it was widely belived that the Olive brothers had killed these men. Another incident involved two neighboring ranchers by the names of Mitchell and Ketchum who the Olives accused of stealing their cattle. Bob Olive, after confronting Mitchell and Ketchum, was killed in a gunfight, which prompted a lynch mob led by Print., who hunted down the men, hung them, and then set them on fire. Print Olive was convicted of manslaughter and served a year in prison before being aquited, thus earning him the name "man burner." Olive was killed in Hayne's saloon in Trail City, Colorado by a man named Joe Sparrow.
