From his death certificate he died of croupius pneumonia on 22 December 1903. He was born on 4 April 1832 in Germany. Parents unknown. He was a farmer. The information was filed by Max Strobel (sic?? Frobel?).
From the Daily Journal of Meriden, CT, December 22, 1903.
"William Frobel, aged seventy-five, an old and respected resident of this town, died early this morning at his home on Steuben street, after an illness of eight days of pneumonia. He had been a farmer in the western part of Meriden for years and had conducted a milk route in the city.
Mr. Frobel was born in Germany but had resided in Meriden for thirty years. He was well known among the German residents. He is survived by a widow, three daughters, Mrs. Max Strobel, Mrs. Albert Daenekind and Mrs. Richard Schaefer; four sons, Fred, August and Gustave of Meriden and William, the well-known acrobat now of Colorado, and one sister, Mrs. Caroline Schwartz.
The funeral arrangements are not yet complete."
