Delores Virginia Rine was born on Aug. 31, 1933, in Alexandria, Ohio to Russell Clermont and Verne Clarinda (Peters) Davis. She was a 1951 graduate of Johnstown-Monroe High School, attended Berea College in Berea, KY, Ohio Dominican College and Mt. Vernon Nazarene College. she was an educational aide for 25 years at Bladensburg Elementary, Utica Elementary and Knox New Hope school, where she fulfilled her lifelong compassion for helping children.
She attended the community Christian Fellowship Church, was an Advisor for Bla-Mar busy Beavers 4-H club for 32 years. she was a member of the butler-Harrison Grange, served on the Butler Township Election Board for 20+ years, was a member of the Knox County Farm Bureau and helped with numerous activities with Youth groups at camps and churches.
She married Raymond Rine on Nov. 18, 1951 and together they continued farming on his family farm in Butler Township for 50 years. She was known for her family dinners, singing, gardening, humor, gentleness, unconditional love, kindness and selflessness. she was an encouragement to all she met and strove to live her life faithful for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her loving family: husband, Raymond, sons Steve (Shirley) Rine of Logan, John (Vickie) Rine of Walhonding; daughter Debra Rine-Grosscup of Howard; six grandchildren, Darci, and Brittney Rine, autumn and Dylan Grosscup and Shannon and Shelby Rine; five sisters, Dorothy Futtrell of Newark, Donnna spearman of Croton, Diana Linger and Darlene Duke of Johnstown and Doris (Steve) Bogner of Pataskala; many nieces and nephews.
there were no calling hours and the family observed a private memorial service, per her wishes.
