Survivors Of First Company From County Gather At Cuba ---

Survivors of Company B, Twenty Third New York Volunteers, met at Cuba Thursday for their fourth annual reunion, and, though the number was not large, there being just seven present. It was a highly enjoyable occasion for every one of them, says the Patriot. The business session was held at Grand Army Hall and dinner was served at the Hotel Kinney. The following were present: F. M. Lockwood, Titusville, Pa.; E. P. Main of Belmont; Judson Blakeley of Corry, Pa.; Luclan Scott of Friendship; E. H. Keller of Cuba; Azel Buckley of Addison, N. Y.; and Martin L. Spencer of Little Genesee.
The business session was opened by the reading of a selection by the president, F. M. Lockwood. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the secretary, Martin L. Spencer. A motion was made and carried that the old officers serve for another year. They are: President, F. M. Lockwood; secretary and treasurer, M. L. Spencer.
The members accepted an invitation to hold the next meeting with Comrade Edward P. Main at Belmont.
Company B was the first company recruited in Allegany county which saw service during the Civil War. It was organized in Cuba and the preliminary drilling was done on the streets of Cuba.
