Richard Lee "Dick" Shannon, 59, Salina, died Wednesday Feb. 14, 2001, at Windsor Estates, Salina. Mr. Shannon was born July 20, 1941, at Hays.

He was a resident of Salina for 20 years, moving from Hoisington, and was a former resident of Abilene for 11 years and retired from Fuller Brush in 1979.

Survivors include two sons, Richard of Salina and Brian of Hays; his mother, Catherine Schwarz of Salina; a brother, H. Gene of Salina; a sister, Carolyn Burt of Hutchinson; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina 67401, Merl Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Memorials may be made to the Shannon Lung Transplant Fund. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, Salina.
