Taken prisoner during the Battle of Port Republic, VA, June 9, 1862;
Paroled Sept. 16, 1862;
Missing during the Battle of Chancellorsville, VA, May 2, 1863;
Returned to duty.
Killed during the Battle of Ringgold, GA.
