Rudy (Rudolph) Santibanes, Sr., passed peacefully at home in San Jose on March 2, 2009, of complications of Alzheimer's disease at age 93. Beloved husband of 63 years of Josephine, father of Rudy, Jr., of San Jose, John of San Francisco, and Diana Downs of Foster City. Cherished grandfather of Lisa, Michael, Jason and Renee. Loving great-grandfather, uncle and cousin. A life-long resident of the Santa Clara Valley and the longest surviving of seven children of Frank and Jovita Santibanes. A 47-year employee of American Can in San Jose, and an avid sportsman and card player. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
