Television and Radio Personality. His broadcasting career spanned 21 years in both television and radio in Seattle. He appeared on KIRO television as a sports anchor and on KIRO radio as host of "Sportsline", an evening call in talk show. Nicknamed the "Mound of Sound" by Brent Musburger of CBS Sports because of his large size, Cody appeared as a color commentator on Seattle Seahawks football and Seattle Seafair hydroplane telecasts. His local celebrity status earned him a cameo appearance in the 1992 motion picture "Singles", a romantic comedy filmed in Seattle. Prior to his arrival in Seattle, he was a traveling public relations spokesman for the Professional Bowler's Association, and play by play announcer for the Indiana Pacers of the American Basketball Association. Cause of death: Complications from heart attack and diabetes.
