H.C. Graham was born in Indiana, October 20th, 1846 and died at his home at Farmington, Kansas November 5, 1905, being 59 years and 15 days.
In March 1866 he was united in marriage to Melvina C. Cline and of this union were born nine children, eight of whom with the widow survive to mourn the loss of an affectionate husband and father. The children are, Losson, James and Jerry Graham and Mrs. Maude Kingry of this county, Mrs. Leona Griffith of Hartford, Kansas, Silas Graham of San Marcial, New Mexico, Mrs. Julia A. Greene of Hutchinson, Kansas and Mrs. Etta Petty of Trenton, Missouri, John W. Graham preceding to Spirit world. Beside these Mr. Graham leaves a brother, Richard Graham of Iowa and a niece, Mrs. Lew Cook of Climax, Kansas.
Mr. Graham served as a private in Co. C 150th Reg. Indiana Volunteers in the late Rebellion for 1 year.
He came to Kansas in 1882 first locating on Honey Creek, and had made Greenwood County his home ever since.
