Mrs. Mary Elmore Grower, Mary Street, died last night at a local hospital following a stroke of paralysis suffered two weeks ago. She was born at Richmondville, a daughter of the late Isaac and Hester Elmore. She spent her youth in New York Mills, Utica and vicinity. She was twice married. Her first husband Jonathan Lum (1863-1914), Decatur and her second Alfred Grower, Alder Creek. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She leaves a daughter Lillian Lunn Platt, Utica; three brothers, Charles Elmore, Utica; Julius Elmore, Yorkville; and Joseph Elmore, Marshaltown; and a sister, Mrs. Nelson Mattice.
