Walter Wagner

Salisbury--Walter H. Wagner, 79, a resident of Warwick for years and formerly of Salisbury, died at the Warwick Hospital. He was born in Gray on Oct. 18, 1900 and was the son of Charles and Flora Hodge Wagner.
He married Lela Miller on June 18, 1924, in the Universalist Parsonage, Dolgeville. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Clinton Moulton.
He was a self-employed truck driver in Dolgeville for many years and also had been employed by the Eastern Footwear Co. and most recently by the Adirondack Bat Co., before retirement in 1965. He was a member of the Universalist Church of Salisbury.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Perry of Warwick; one son, Francis C. Wagner, Herkimer; a sister, Mrs. Ross (Reba) Edick of Ilion; one brother, Louis Wagner of Schuyler; four granddaughters, one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Leon E. Buck Funeral Home, Dolgeville, with the Rev. Timothy Hume-Behrendt, pastor of the Universalist Church, Salisbury, officiating.
Interment will take place in the Salisbury Rural Cemetery in the spring.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the funeral home.
