Christian Ahntholz was born at Wietzen, Nuremburg, Hanover, Germany, and died Sept. 17, 1906 at the age of 76 years and 6 mos., after an illness of two months. He was married in Germany in 1863 to Miss Sophia Lampe. To this union there was born one daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Steinnbeck of Enid, Oklahoma, and four sons, Will, Dietrick, Henry and Fred, with whom the parents have lived since coming to America fourteen years ago.

Several relatives from Nebraska were here to attend the funeral, which was conducted by Rev. Myers of Pomeroy, and the remains were laid at rest in the Lutheran Cemetery six miles north of Newell. The aged mother and family have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their loss of a loving husband and father.
