Luella M. Bloom, age 95, of Overbrook, Kansas, died October 7, 2012 at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook. She was born April 15, 1917 in Neodesha, Kansas, the daughter of Henry Eugene Beard and Dora Bell (Clanton) Beard.
She attended school in Neodesha and Fredonia eventually attending and graduating from Clarks Business School in Topeka. During World War II she worked at Boeing in Wichita. She also worked at Sunflower Ordinance in Desoto and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber plant as a PBX operator after twenty three years of service.
She was Past Worthy Matron of Helena Chapter 210 Order of the Eastern Star, Topeka, Past President of the PBX club, member of the Nobels, Trinity White Shrine # 7 of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, of the Pierce Arrow Society of America, and Goodyear Leisure Club.
She married Robert J. Bone on March 5, 1934. He died on July 4, 1942. She married Cecil Cuddy on December 25, 1942, they later divorced. She married Dale W. Bloom on December 28, 1971. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1998.
She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Coramarie Hitchens; son, Ron Bloom; and a grand daughter, Janet L. Russe.
She is survived by a daughter, Pat Johnson, Osceola, Wisconsin; daughter in law, Anita (Jeanie) Bloom, Overbrook; four grandsons; three grand daughters; five great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Memorial Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Overbrook Cemetery, Overbrook, Kansas.
