NICKLES' SON SUCCUMBS TO INJURY
Death Follows Hurt Which Was Supposed To Be Triffling - Meningitis the Cause
This morning about 4 o'clock John J., the six and a half year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Nickles, died at the home of his parents on North Union street. Last week the little fellow fell, bumping his forehead. The wound was passed over as a trifle, as it gave him no trouble until Sunday when it began to swell. Monday he became worse. Physicians wre summoned and all that medical skill could devise was done. However, the wound became infected and septic meningitis developed, causing his death. He was a bright and active little chap, always a great favorite with the patrons of the store. His death comes as a crushing blow to his parents, to whom all hearts go out in sympathy. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at the home, an Orthodox Greek priest having been sent for to officiate.
