Funeral for 1st Sgt. WILLIAM ARTHUR AMARAL JR., 37, Lawton, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Frontier Chapel, Fort Sill, with Chaplain Vander Jagt officiating.
1st. Sgt. Amaral Jr. died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, in Lawton. Burial will be in Fort Still National Cemetery under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.
He was born Feb. 19, 1969, in Warwick, R.I., to Linda Bishop and William A. Amaral Sr. He married Tracy Ann Borzumati Amaral on Feb. 27, 1993, at Spring City, Pa. He was a first sergeant in the U.S. Army and a veteran of Desert Storm.
Survivors include his wife, Tracy of Lawton; a son, Carl Andrew Amaral of Lawton; a daughter, Alyssa Marie Amaral of Lawton; his father, William Amaral Sr. of Salem, N.J.; his mother, Linda Bishop Riley of Warwick, R.I.; a brother, James Amaral of Warwick; his mother-in-law, Gail Eggeling of Pottstown, Pa.; his father-in-law and wife, Peter and Cathryn Borzumati of Kernersville, N.C.; a sister-in-law and husband, Deborah and Lonnie Hillegass of North Port, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Peter Borzumati of Kernersville; close friends, Troy and Jodie Franzen of Lawton, and Jackie and Jon Lyons of Oklahoma City; and many nieces and nephews.
