Funeral services for Marine Cpl. Lorne M. Gover, who drowned July 4, will be conducted Tuesday at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. with burial in Meadowview Cemetery, Manhattan.
Details of the apparent accident which claimed Cpl. Gover's life have not been available. He drowned at Lake Robinson near Charleston, S.C., and was stationed at the Marine Corps' Camp LeJeune, N.C.
He was born January 31, 1946, at Bozeman, and had lived in Manhattan most of his life. Gover attended schools at Manhattan and enlisted in the Marine Corps in February, 1966, a month following his marriage to Janine Coleman at Salmon, Idaho.
Surviving are the widow of Bozeman; a daughter, Wendy Michelle, 10 months; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Gover of Manhattan; a brother, Leon Gover of Bozeman; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Lorraine) VanAusdol of Bozeman; a half-brother, Cecil Gover of Seattle, Wash.; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. W. D. Gover of Manhattan, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
