Cory David Christensen, 46, of Missoula and the Bitterroot, entered into eternal rest in the early hours of Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008. He died from complications of pulmonary fibrosis, which he battled for 6 years.

He was born June 11, 1962, in Bozeman. He grew up in Missoula and attended Hawthorne Elementary. His freshman year of high school was at Hellgate, but he graduated from Stevensville High School in 1980.

Cory was a master carpenter. He worked on many projects locally and as far away as Alaska. He was an avid outdoorsman, poet, and artist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, the outdoors, reading, trivia and board games especially Pente at which he was rarely beaten.

Survivors include his wife Kasey Dawn Christensen; son Cory James Christensen of Missoula; his parents, Alice Christensen and Merritt and Karen Christensen; sister Amy Reed; and brother Zane (Amy M.) Christensen, all of Corvallis; brothers, Brent (Sandra) of Pocatello, Idaho, Jason (Lita) of Billings, Keith (Megumi) of Okinawa, Japan and Eric (Jessica) of Helena; six nieces and six nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Interment will be in the Meadow View Cemetery in the Gallatin Valley.
