Graveside services for San Juanita "Winky" Cooper, 51, of Temple will be 1 p.m. Friday in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Ms. Cooper died Sunday, Aug. 1, in a local hospital.

She was born on May 7, 1959, to Geronimo and Guadalupe Lerma Estrada in Temple. She served in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm. She worked as a registration clerk in the National Guard. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple.

Survivors include two sons, Ryan Torbet and Michael Torbet, both of Arizona; a daughter, Amber Vajdl of North Carolina; two brothers, Ray Gomez of Round Rock and Antonio Estrada of Temple; four sisters, Ramona Rodriguez of Temple, Yondy Shipley of Austin, Elisa Black of Cedar Park and Lori Blandin of Round Rock; and six grandchildren.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
