CROOKSTON -- Valerian E. Boucher, 72, Park Rapids, Minn., formerly of Crookston, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at home.
Valerian Earl Boucher was born Dec. 13, 1927, the son of Wilfred and Parmelia (Anntonett) Boucher, in Crookston, where he attended school. He lived and farmed in Crookston until his retirement in 1982. He also worked at American Crystal and did odd jobs during the winter. He married Lucilie Amiot on Jan. 28, 1961, in Crookston.
He is survived by sons, Dan (Libby), Crookston, Douglas, Bemidji, and Larry, Grand Forks; a daughter, Brenda Boucher, Crookston; eight grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Gladys), Crookston; a sister, Yvonne (Clayton) Paulson, Grand Forks; and his companion, Arlene Meyer, Park Rapids.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy; and two brothers.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Crookston.
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Crookston.
