HAMLIN -- Beverly Fuqua Ford, 80, died Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Holiday Lodge Healthcare Center in Hamlin.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2004 at First Baptist church with Revs. Jason Atchley and James Brigham officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.

Born February 19, 1923 in Stamford, Beverly was a daughter of the late James La Fayette and Dollie (Hoover) Fuqua. She was a graduate from Stamford High School. Beverly married H.L. Ford October 18, 1942 in Anson. They were engaged in farming and cattle until 1987. She was a member of the First Baptist church and was a faithful member of the J-O-Y Sunday school class. Beverly was in with all Senior Citizen's activities, quilting, and the Pink Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Jody Ford; one daughter, Penny Reed; a sister; and two brothers.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Spencer and Sharon Ford of Hamlin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Reed Lockhoof of Austin and Diane and Derek Harris of Dallas; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Sharon (Rick) Rodgers, Flip (Michelle) Lockhoof, Dedra (David) Davis, Mike Ford, Jamie (Jerry) Woods, Stephen (Audrey) Reed, Leslie (Matt) Hyman, Amy (Scott) Hoepker, and Clint Harris; one brother and sister-in-law, Buster and Lucille Fuqua; 13 beloved great-grandchildren; and special family, Carolyn and Bud Baird and Milton and Jodi Reed.
