EIDSON -- Will Short, age 72, Eidson, died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at his residence.

He was a retired farmer and an active member of Grassy Springs Church until his recent illness.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Short; parents, John and Minnie Seals Short; step-mother, Catherine Short; three sisters, Zora Hicks, Pearl Lawson and Quinnie Ringley; brothers, Charlie, Clay and Fred Short; and a step-sister, Cleo Gibson.

He is survived by three daughters, Betty Jo Short and Mrs. Ken (Wilma) Sellers, both of Eidson, and Mrs. Sam (Jean) Galloway, Sevierville; a son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Sandra Short, Rogersville; a granddaughters, Becky Sellers, Eidson; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Randy and Meg Short of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Tara and Adam Bledose, Eidson; a brother, John Henry Short, Bean Station; and a sister, Mrs. Mossie Ferrell, Rogersville.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 1999, at Grassy Springs Baptist Church with Revs. Norman Sauceman and Charles Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the services. The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. Wednesday at Colboch-Price Funeral Home, Rogersville.
