Final rites for George Byron Parvin, 82, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the North Athens Church of Christ with burial in the Athens City Cemetery, Spry directing.
Mr. Parvin, who was a longtime resident of Limestone County and a member of the Baptist Church, died Thursday morning at his home following a two year illness.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie; nine sons, Alvie, Owen, Leo, Gordon, Kenneth, all of Detroit, Claudie of California, Wilburn of Flushing, Mich., O. D. and Marvin, both of Athens; a daughter, Mrs. Marion George, Decatur; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
