MRS. EMMA OSBORNE DIED LAST NIGHT

Had Been Seriously Ill Only One Week - Funeral Tomorrow Morning.

Mrs. Emma Barbara Springs Osborne, widow of the late P. A. Osborne and one of Charlotte's best beloved women, passed away at her home, 1801 South Boulevard, Dilworth, last night at 8 o'clock after a period of declining health that had continued for some time but which had been serious only for the past week. Monday of last week she developed a case of grip and her condition quickly became serious. She slowly failed until the end last night.

Mrs. Osborne was born in the Mulberry section, February 4, 1856 and was therefore 60 years of age. She was married to Mr. Osborne January 5, 1876 He died in 1902. Surviving are Mrs. P. Troy Freeland of Roxboro, Miss Cornelia May Osborne and Mr. Billy Osborne, the two latter of this city. Two sisters and five brothers also survive, namely, Mrs. E. M. Rogers and Mrs. Virginia Montgomery and Messrs. William, J. C., Thomas, Charles and Lum Springs.

Mrs. Osborne was a loyal member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the funeral will take place tomorrow morning at an hour to be designated today.
