Christopher(Christian) Rohe was born in Hess Darmstadt,Germany February 14th 1842 and died October 23, 1933. He is the son of Henry Rohe born abt. 1810 and Minnie "Denniwitz" Rohe both born in Germany. The Rohe family immigrated to America in 1852 and 1856. Christopher married Catherine Maul in 1868. They had the following children: Frank Rohe, Ella Rohe, and Louis(Lewis) Rohe. Christopher was a farmer in Huntington township. He was a private in Union Army during the Civil War in the 106th Ohio Infantry Regiment, company F. I am a direct descendant of Christoper Rohe.
