Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church, 3315 Hancock St., with Randy Davis, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Bowers was born July 16, 1912, in a half dugout outside Reed, Okla., to Pearl and Joseph Moseley. She became a teacher and made math enjoyable for many. She was ahead of her time, laying out groundwork for higher math. She belonged to the Honor's Society. Mrs. Bowers was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Bowers; her siblings, Mavis Freudenrich, Ruby Vaughn and husband Cleo, Boots Moseley, Wallace Moseley and Wilbur Moseley.
Survivors include a daughter, June and husband Tom Lanham of Amarillo; a son, Kent Bowers of Fort Worth; a granddaughter, Misty and husband Jeremy Pierce of Amarillo; and four great-granddaughters, Penelope Ellis and husband David, Kara Anderson and husband Anthony, Destiny Thompson and husband Tommy, all of Amarillo, and Hope Aguilera and husband Alex of Arlington; a sister-in-law, Viola Moseley of Midwest City, Okla.; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
The family suggests memorials be made to Gideon Bible, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214.
