Married Melvina (Vina) Graham December 4, 1899 in Houston County, Texas

Mr. A. P. (Pone) Luce, a pioneer citizen of this section, died at his home four miles southeast of Grapeland, Thursday, February 4, 1926, after a week's illness caused by a stroke.
He was a member of Houston county's most highly respected families and a thrifty farmer.
Funeral services were conducted Friday and interment made in the McCarter cemetery.
Deceased leaves a wife and five children: Garrett and Gail Luce, and Mrs. Irene Gallant and Misses Vera and Oveda Luce. Five brothers who survive are: Bart, Tom, Ollie, Frank, and John Luce. Three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Allen, Mrs. Ada Platt, and Mrs. Jewel Allen.
The Messenger joins friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved wife, children, brothers and sisters.
