Bomer Britton Harris died Feb. 16, 2004. Funeral services will be in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel, at 10 a.m. Saturday Feb. 21. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Harris was born in Roaring Springs on Aug. 20, 1917, the son of George and Vera Jones Harris. He attended Harrold High School and graduated from Texas A&M in 1939.
On Nov. 28, 1940 he was married to Emma Frances Seay at Harrold. He graduated from Chiropractic School and practiced chiropractory from 1940-1942.
He joined the Soil Conservation Service in 1942 and retired after 31 years of service.
Mr. Harris then worked for the First National Bank of Hamilton for many years. His service to the Lord included the First Baptist Church of Quanah and the First Baptist Church of Hamilton. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of Hamilton; three daughters, Janice Bidigare and husband Richard of Hamilton, Mich.; Kay Christiansen and husband Chris of Hurst; Joyce Villarreal and husband George of Houston; five grandchildren, Scott Bidigare, Michele Burkett, Wendi Kornegay, Amy Wood and Josh Wood; six great grandchildren and a brother Ivan Harris of Fort Worth.
Pallbearers will be Richard Bidigare, George Villarreal, Chris Christiansen, Don Gromatzky, Josh Wood and Robin Thomas.
