Hugh F. Morton, age 56, of Arab, AL, died Wednesday, October 4. Memorial services were held Sunday, October 8, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Guntersville. He was a native of Hueytown, AL, and attended Alabama College (University of Montevallo) where he was a member of the Sigma Club. He was also a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was previously employed as the National Credit Manager with Avondale Mills, Graniteville, SC. Survivors include wife, Yvonne Akers Morton of Arab; son, Christopher Morton of Arab; daughter, Stephanie Morton of Arab; parents, Welma J. Morton and Mary C. Morton of Midfield, AL; sisters, Brenda M. Northcutt of Hoover, AL, Nann M. Vines of Concord, AL, brothers Dewayne Morton of McCalla, AL, Michah Morton of Midfield, AL; several nieces and nephews; 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews.
