Connor, Francis, b. ca. 1840, Hawkins, Tennessee. Former Confederate who, after being captured and sent to Pt. Lookout, Maryland, took the oath of allegiance and enlisted as a private in Co. D, 1st United States Volunteer Infantry ("Galvanized Yankees"). D. Mar 3, 1865 (arrow wound of lungs). Remains removed from Ft. Rice Cemetery and reburied here 3/6/1905.
