John Lesher, son of Sebastian and Elizabeth (Baughman) Lesher, born 1759, died 1839; married Elizabeth Bosler, born 1763, died 1823.

Their Children:
Joseph Lesher, born Jan. 13, 1784, died Nov. 12, 1857; Elizabeth Lesher, born Feb. 24, 1789, died Feb. 9, 1793; John Lesher, born May 3, 1793, died Feb. 26, 1878; Michael Lesher, born Aug. 1, 1798, died May 26, 1873.

John Lesher was born in Lebanon (then Lancaster) County in 1759 and died near Chambersburg in 1839. He was enrolled in the Lancaster County militia, 1780 to 1783, but being a nonresistant he paid his fines.

He moved to Franklin County in 1804 where he bought a farm of 120 acres from John Bender. He later became an extensive landowner in both Antrim and Guilford Townships.

His last years were spent on his farm along the Waynesboro road one mile south of Chambersburg, with his wife, the former elizabeth Bosler who died in 1823. They are buried in the Stouffers Cemetery on Stouffer Avenue, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
