Services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday for Oleta Ray Nelson of Uvalde at Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Emmitt Burrow officiating.
A former longtime Baytonian, Mrs. Nelson died Friday in a Houston hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Nelson Sr.
Survivors are her son, A. N. "Boots" Nelson Jr. of Uvalde; a daughter, Eva Yvonne Nelson of Devers; two sisters, Carrie Whittington of Devers and Lorene Gripon of Liberty. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Gary Nelson of Mont Belvieu, Albert Nelson III of Uvalde, Sandra Janacek of Crosby and Connie Dunivent of Cheynne, Wyo.
Burial will be in Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Joe Frank Robins, Delroy Mulkey, Arnold Wolf Jr., Londel Hubley, Ross James and Leroy Masterson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Earthman Funeral Home. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to the shrine Crippled Children's Hospital.
