Henry Milton Tillotson, Jr., 77, of 140 Luray Street, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born July 5, 1931, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Henry Milton Tillotson, Sr. and Bernice Holder Tillotson. He was the husband of Vickie Alverson Carruth Tillotson and was first married to the late Ruby Dean Tillotson.

He was retired from Reeves Brothers and a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he was a sound technician and member of Young at Heart, a former member of the Westview-Fairforest Fire Department, and a member of American Legion Post 28.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Charles E. Tillotson of Spartanburg; two daughters, Kay T. Tuck and Carolyn T. Smith, both of Spartanburg; two step-sons, Heath Carruth of Mauldin, and Shannon Carruth of Boiling Springs; four grandchildren, Brian Tuck, Amber Roe, Chris Smith, and Olivia Marie Carruth; a great-grandchild, Garrett Roe; a brother, Jake Tillotson of Spartanburg; and four sisters, Ann Lee Staggs, Dot Pruitt, Ruth Riddle, and Barbara Fowler, all of Spartanburg.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 1, 2008, at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Joe Burnett.

Honorary Escort will be current and former members of the Westview-Fairforest Fire Department.
