Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the Presbyterian church for Mrs. Fairel A. Baird, wife of Atty. John T. Baird of St. Louis, The services were conducted by Rev. Wayne W. Gray. Interment was in Little Prairie Cemetery.
Mrs. Baird was born April 11, 1891 at Princeton, Mo. She met her husband when both were students at a business college at Chillicothe. After their marriage they resided in this city for several years, Mr. Baird being employed at that time by the late J.W. Stephens, Mrs. Baird teaching during part of that time at Hayti. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and of the Royal Neighbors order.
Mrs. Baird had been ill for the past eight years, suffering from tuberculosis.
She is survived by her husband, a practicing attorney in St. Louis, and four children, John T., Jr., 20, Phyllis, 17, Frances, 15, and Mary, 7. Also two brothers, living at Houston, Tex., and Trenton, Mo., and two sisters, at Centerville and Marshalltown, Ia.
